{Scotland} part two: i truly believe everyone should explore a castle at least once in their life.

When i told my nieces tonight that i saw a "real-life castle" on my trip their eyes sparkled & i saw their little minds just racing with wonder.  they were bummed when they found out i didn't get to sleep there, and were more bummed to hear that i didn't meet a prince.

I got to spend the morning with Helen exploring this beautiful castle.  it was breathtaking, as well as a complete dream true.  Poor Helen had to listen to my "oooh's" & "awww's" for at least thirty minutes straight - seriously, she is the best.

but really, when you grow up living in middle of America castles are only found in books. & while books are a wonderful way to explore the world from your own home, i think everyone should experience the view for themselves.
