i can't even imagine what it must be like, what thoughts go through one's mind at such a moment?
i suspect i would be thinking something to the effect of:
"everyone can stop asking the old "if the moon was made of cheese" question, oh man, but if it were made of ribs...i could just feast while i am up here! oh! man i have the best one-upper-brag-story in the WORLD--i mean in the UNIVERSE.... 'you went to spain 3 times? cool! i've walked on the moon!' boom roasted..."i have a feeling i would acquire many-a-ridiculous thoughts & ideas about having been to the moon...don't worry though, my eyes are too bad for me to become an astronaut. buzzkill. did you know, my dad really dreamt of being an astronaut but ran into the same dilemma? (well i am not sure how i expected you to know that...but you know what i mean)...
i could just see him bouncin' around up there on the moon, like a kid in a candy store...
so here's to the moon
& the first time it met our footprints.
happy 40th anniversary apollo 11.
